The sole owner of a Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition is up for auction.
Fans of the Lamborghini Countach will soon have the chance to own an untouched example of the ultimate version.
Lamborghini introduced the Countach 25th anniversary model in 1988.
The one-owner example will be put under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions' Race Retro sale in the UK on February 22-23, 2020.
The 1990, which features right-hand drive, was driven just under 4,000 miles by its owner before being put into storage in 1995. It then underwent an extensive restoration in 2017 and was returned to factory condition.
Interestingly, the car is finished in Arancio Muira Orange, a color that was available on earlier Countach models but not on the 25th Anniversary model. The owner wanted the car to match an older Countach in his collection, and Lamborghini eventually made it available, albeit only for this particular car.
The 25th Anniversary Edition, as the name suggests, was created to celebrate Lamborghini's 25th anniversary. It features a unique front and side spoiler, as well as air vents designed by Pagani CEO and founder Horacio Pagani, who was working for Lamborghini at the time.
It is powered by a 5.2-liter V-12 engine that produces 455 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 183 mph. Tire sizes were 225/50 in the front and 345/35 in the rear, the widest of any production car at the time.
Given that the car is solely owned, in remarkable condition, and in a very striking original color, it is sure to attract a lot of attention at the upcoming sale.
