"Manufactured by Modena Design & Development, the Spyder is one of three Modena's used in the filming of the iconic movie and is offered with no reserve," the auction house said.
"The cult classic film 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' made this Modena an instant classic among collectors and moviegoers," company chairman Craig Jackson was quoted in the announcement. This is the first of three Spyders sold to Paramount, and we are confident that seeing it in person will bring back wonderful memories of this iconic film."
According to Barrett-Jackson, the car was recently restored by Neil Glassmoyer, one of the founders of Modena Design.
