2020 Infiniti QX80 with new dashboard and Edition 30 package

The Infiniti QX80 received a major update for 2018, making the interior more luxurious to better reflect the vehicle's premium price tag, but Infiniti designers decided to skip the dash for some odd reason. The center stack is lined with cheesy buttons and painted plastic trim, and the infotainment system is controlled by a small screen.

Infiniti goes some way to fixing the problem with the arrival of the 2020 QX80, which boasts a new center stack and console dominated by a dual-screen display system. The instrument cluster remains analog as well, but now features a larger 7.0-inch display, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a variety of electronic driver assistance features as standard conveniences.

The 2020 QX80 is also available with the "Edition 30 Package," which Infiniti introduced last year to celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary. the QX80 includes dark-finished 22-inch wheels, dark chrome accents around the exterior, in-cabin headliner, sun visors, sunshades, and pillars in a unique graphite finish. It also features illuminated stainless steel treadplates.

The Edition 30 package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist, Around View Monitor, Backup Collision Intervention, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, and Infiniti's Electronic Driver Assist Package is also included.

With the interior finally updated, expect Infiniti to do something about the QX80's powertrain. The only option remains a 5.6-liter V-8 that delivers 400 horsepower and 413 pounds of torque. This is the same as the QX80's predecessor, the QX56, when it was introduced in 2004.

Production of the QX80 will take place at the Kyushu plant along with the Nissan Armada twins. Pricing has not yet been announced, but for reference, the 2019 model starts at just over $65,000. The Armada is expected to receive its own update soon, as the version called Patrol sold overseas has already undergone a model change.
