Dominic Tollett's 1970 Dodge Charger is ready for a run on Lego wheels.
Whether you're a fan of the movies or not, the "Wild Speed" series is firmly embedded in pop culture.
One particularly revered car is the 1970 Dodge Charger owned by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), which has appeared in several films in the franchise and has been used in various forms. For example, this car is expected to have a mid-engine layout in the upcoming F9 movie.
You can now get your own Toretto-inspired Charger, albeit on a much smaller scale. The iconic car from the film has been immortalized in the Lego world in the form of a new $99.99 Technic set.
The finished car is 15 inches long and has many intricate parts, thanks to the large number of blocks in the set - 1,077 pieces. Movable pistons, cross arm suspension, steering system, and a supercharger for the V8. There's even a nitroglycerin tank and stand in the trunk to give the impression of the car doing somersaults like in the original 2001 movie.
The set will be available for delivery on April 27. This is around the time F9 was originally scheduled to be released, but was delayed a year due to the Covid-19 coronavirus.
