Netflix's "NASCAR": Full Speed Trailer, January 30
NASCAR boosted the popularity of F1, especially in the U.S. The series, first announced last August, will air five episodes on NASCAR: Netflix beginning January 30. A teaser trailer released Wednesday gives us a taste of what's to come.
The series focuses on the 2023 Cup Series playoffs and was filmed both on and off the circuit.
Each of the five episodes will run 45 minutes and, like the Netflix F1 series, will feature exclusive interviews with nine drivers and teams. Drivers include Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Ross Chastain, Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, and Tyler Reddick.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt, Jr. is on the list of executive producers along with Ben Kennedy, Tim Clark, Matt Summers, and NASCAR Studios' Tully Hare.
Netflix is no stranger to NASCAR; in 2022, the popular streaming service aired Race: Bubba Wallace, a series following the drivers of the Michael Jordan-backed 23XI NASCAR team, with six episodes featured.
While there are rumors that Netflix is also planning an IndyCar-focused series, the open-wheel racing series got its own six-episode TV series known as "100 Days to Indy," which aired on The CW last year.
