Tesla says that deliveries of the cyber truck will finally begin on May 11.30.

Tesla's cyber trucks have been pre-manufactured since May 7 at the company's Texas plant, and the first sample for customers will roll off the assembly line as soon as the start of deliveries next month is confirmed.

Tesla said in a statement posted to X on Wednesday that deliveries of the cyber truck are expected to begin on November 30. The first sample is delivered directly to the customer at a plant in Texas near Austin.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has previously suggested that production may be low at first, but will increase by 2024. On Wednesday, outlining Tesla's financial results for the third quarter, he said that adjusted net profit of electric full-size pickups was 212.18 billion in the previous quarter, which for the company was at least 32.3 billion, which is about 37% less compared to the same period last year.

The sharp drop is explained by the recent price reduction that Tesla has made for its entire model range.

Cybertruck was first introduced as a concept in 2019. Production was originally expected to begin at the end of 2021, but numerous delays pushed back the schedule. This includes changes to the original specifications and the need to introduce new technologies.

One of the new technologies is a rechargeable battery, which is more energy-intensive than the one the company currently uses. It's unclear if Tesla's new cell will allow it to offer a larger range than it has already announced. In its 2019 Cybertrack concept announcement, Tesla said the electric truck would offer 250-mile, 300-mile and over 500-mile autonomous driving options.

Other specifications include a 19-foot length that allows the truck to fit in most garages, and a powerplant that exceeds the range consisting of 4 engines.

Tesla also announced a starting price of $39,900 at the time of its 2019 release, but this information was removed from Tesla's website in 2021, suggesting that cyber trucks may have other starting prices once orders begin to be accepted. Currently, interested buyers can book a place for assembly.
