Marqued is an auction site for classic cars of all makes, supported by Porsche

A new place to buy and sell classic cars online has emerged.

Marqued is a classic car buying and selling site launched last summer by Porsche Digital, a division of Porsche dedicated to developing digital business models. Initially started purely as a blog to share stories about classic cars, the decision was eventually made to add an auction section due to reader interest in owning the cars being written about.

This combination of story sharing and car buying and selling sets Marqued apart from existing classic car buying and selling sites such as the very popular Bring a Trailer. marqued is also a more enthusiast oriented site, so there are more affordable Marqued is also a more enthusiast oriented site, with more affordable models for sale. A search of previously sold models shows a 1995 BMW M3 for $14,600 and a 2005 Subaru WRX STI for $34,000.

Marqued also aims to make classic car ownership easier for those new to the world of classic car ownership. For example, instead of the typical one-week auctions that many rival sites feature, Marqued's auctions are held over a two-week period. This reduces stress by giving bidders more time to ask questions of sellers and arrange for inspections, either in person or at an agreed-upon mechanic's shop.

It is still early days for Marqued, as they just held their first auction in late 2021. As of this writing, only six auctions have taken place, but the Marqued team plans to steadily increase the number of vehicles and continue to build the platform.
